Viktor

Victor arrived in the U.S. in February of 2010. He spent six months in the hospital for rehabilitation after his surgeries. His congenital leg deformation turned out to be so serious that the doctors had to perform four extremely difficult operations on stump amputation and correction.

Victor survived many hardships, and every day he struggled for the possibility to walk independently. He was supported by unique specialists who were working together with him. He is still learning to walk, but this path will be long and difficult. At the end of August he returned home in Nizhniy-Lomov with two pairs of prosthetics. We will be helping him further, with his physical therapy, education and his process of socialization.
